about us

faro creative is a new york city-based design studio that specializes in creating intentional, panoptic experiences through visual and environmental design. we collaborate with individuals, hospitality clients, theater organizations, and brands to tell unique and exciting stories using both art and space, integrating a broad spectrum of design skills and expertise.

Founded on the principles of truth, consciousness, and good humor, Stephanie is as much a storyteller as a designer.  She works with individuals, larger studios, and brands to bring beautiful, meaningful, authentic experiences and spaces to life.

Stephanie’s work has spanned all aspects and types of design, including immersive theater environments, retail concepts, hotels, restaurants, and residential spaces. Because the client is always at the forefront of the design process, every project becomes a unique reflection of the person or brand Stephanie is creating for.  Both craft and detail-oriented, Stephanie dives deep into the backstory and history that informs every project. Her aesthetic is ever-evolving, although she tends to favor both the quirky and serene and is always deeply inspired by nature.  Her process embraces a holistic approach to design, ensuring a seamless, integrated, and experiential final product.  Making design accessible to everyone is a core value of Faro Creative, and whatever the project, Stephanie makes sure that every space is not just beautiful, but livable, one of a kind, and filled with soulful surprises.

In her 12 years as a designer, Stephanie has worked for a variety of brands and studios, including AD100 studio Charles and Co., and projects for Samsung, Disney, Nautica, and Hotel Indigo.  She frequently partners with her friends at Farouki Farouki for some incredible hospitality projects.

Stephanie obtained her BS in Interior Architecture from the University of Wisconsin- Madison.  She loves tiny animals, her dog Olympia, traveling, desserts, making lists, and fine cocktails.  In addition to her design work, Stephanie is also a singer and actor, often performing in cabarets and musical theater productions around New York City.  She currently lives in Brooklyn, but thanks to remote work is able to take on projects around the country.
